Assignment 1
The diagram template seems to be more suited to portraiture, but I am guessing that this image was taken with a shooting table lit from behind and below for the background. The actual lens seems to be lit from the front with two lights, probably directed through narrow soft boxes. The white reflection on the lens appears to be the edge of the table, and the dark areas appear to be gobos on either side.
